The Sabotage Cycle

Childhood experiences can cause many of us to become self-sabotagers .... it's time, let's break the cycle. (I think I just made up a word but we'll go with it)

Welcome to my blog page. I will use this space to connect with my readers and potential customers in a way that’s current and interesting. Think of it as an ongoing conversation where I share updates about relevant information from my personal experiences that I grew in and from that can also encourage you and your experiences.

Have you noticed the pattern yet? Sometimes, we can't see what we're so close to until we've had to be removed from it.

Relationships

Sometimes, we're not removed from it but mostly, we just don't want to see what's right in front of us because we don't want to face how it makes us feel or how it makes us look. We do choose not to recognize our actions or part in what is being played out before us. In our relationships that continue to fail but we insist that it's them and not us. They all need to get help to get their messy selves together. It's so difficult to see the common denominator is us because that forces us to look at ourselves and how our behavior is causing every relationship to fail. Whew, that is a hard pill to swallow, I know!! Let's look at it like this...even if the other person does need to do a self check too, can we really make that happen? or can we only work on us? The only person we have control is ourselves, so let's start with us.

Career

On our jobs, when we notice others are growing, moving forward and we are not, who do we place the blame on? How are we entertaining those thoughts and with whom are we interacting with while entertaining the thoughts? These questions can be annoying while in a blame mentality but these questions are necessary for us in order to control what direction we are moving in. How are we responding to change on our jobs and what negative or positive talk are we providing to ourselves, coworkers and management when the challenges arise? Hmmm, great questions. How do your answers look.
These questions are important because it helps us to see where we are in our behavior, thinking and conversations. We must learn how to not sabotage our growth but to turn those challenges into creativity and grow from that creative mindset.
